Things You'll Need:
- Acrylic spray paint or Krylon H2O
-
Step 1
Determine whether the leak is coming from the valves. If so, order replacement valves from the bed's manufacturer. If the leak is coming from another source, use the tube of sealant that usually comes with the bed to close any leaks before trying the following method. Do not attempt this method if you have tears or large holes in the mattress. This is best for minor holes and leaks from around the seam.
-
Step 2
Purchase acrylic spray paint from your local hardware store or paint supply outlet. The number of cans you need depends on the size of your aero bed mattress. Get a color of acrylic spray paint that matches the color of the bed.
-
Step 3
Deflate the aero bed and bring it outdoors or into a well-ventilated area. Then inflate it fully.
-
Step 4
Spray the entire bed with the acrylic spray paint. Pay attention to the seams and the bottom of the mattress. Allow 2 hours to dry, then spray again. Let the mattress dry overnight.
-
Step 5
Bring the bed inside after deflating and inflate it again. Let the bed sit for an hour. If it doesn't deflate, you've repaired the leaks.
