How to Duplicate an Angle With a T-Bevel

Need to match an angle for your basketball backboard or the sides of your gazebo? Grab your T-bevel and let's do it. What's a T-bevel, you ask? It's an adjustable gauge with a wood or plastic handle and a metal blade that pivots out. The blade is locked into position with a wing nut.

    • T-bevels
    • Carpenter's Pencils
      • 1

        Open the T-bevel blade.

      • 2

        Slide the handle into the corner of the angle so that the handle forms one side of the angle and the blade the other.

        Tighten the blade, keeping the angle accurate.

      • 4

        Copy the angle onto the new work surface with a pencil.
