Laser printers, such as the ones manufactured by Lexmark, are used to print large documents through the use of laser toner. One of the printer's components, known as the RIP board, attaches to the printer's main board and can easily be "unmarried" -- or removed -- from the printer once the proper components are removed and the board is exposed.
Remove the first screw from the top of the RIP board ground shield, located on the top of your printer.
Remove the second screw from the ground shield. Remove the third screw from the side of the ground shield.
Pull the RIP board ground shield away from the printer, exposing the RIP board. Grip either side of the RIP board with your hands and pull it out of its slot.
