Homemade Fruit and Vegetable Wash Solution

Things You'll Need

  • 1 cup of distilled water
  • 1 teaspoon of Castile soap (vegetable based liquid soap)
  • Clean spray bottle
  • scrub brush for some vegetables and fruits

Step 1: Add 1 cup of water to your spray bottle.

Step 2: Add 1 teaspoon of Castile soap.

Castile soap is a vegetable oil based soap that is great for naturally cleaning fruits, vegetables and so much more without the use of harmful chemicals.

Step 3: Shake well.

Step 4: Generously spray fruits and vegetables.

Step 5: Gently scrub hard skinned fruits and vegetables.

Use a dish scrubber to remove dirt and debris from harder skinned fruits and vegetables like citrus fruits, melons and potatoes.

Step 6: Gently wipe more delicate fruits and vegetables with a soft cloth.

Use a clean, soft cloth to remove dirt and debris from softer skinned fruits and vegetables like berries, peaches and squash.

Step 7: Rinse well.

After cleaning your fruits and vegetables, rinse them well and dry air dry them or wipe them with a dry towel.
