Regular cleaning keeps Formica shiny and clean but the right supplies must be used to prevent the surface from getting cloudy and dirty. By following steps and using supplies recommended by Formica Group, you can keep your countertops and flooring clean, avoiding cloudy films that make the surface look dull.

Dampen a clean cloth with water and wipe off the Formica to remove the soapy solution.

Sprinkle baking soda on any remaining stains and cloudiness. Wet a nylon dish scrubber and scrub the cloudy areas in a circular motion. Baking soda is a mild abrasive, safe and effective for Formica surfaces.

Wipe the baking soda residue off with a damp cloth. Dry the Formica with a clean, dry cloth.

Shine the Formica surface with a cloth dampened with club soda. Pour just enough club soda onto the cloth to make the fabric damp. Buff the club soda into the Formica until it's dry.
