Ice

Adhesive, also known as glue, is a combination of natural or synthetic items that produce a liquid or semi-liquid product. The product is used to bond or adhere items together. There are several household items that can be used to remove dried adhesive. When dried adhesive is removed, it can leave behind a sticky residue. This sticky residue can also be removed using the same household products. Depending on the type of adhesive and its stickiness, it may take several attempts to remove the residue.
Ice
Step 1
Rub ice over the dried adhesive. The ice will help harden the adhesive, making it easier to remove in one large piece.

Step 2
Place a butter knife or a spatula under the dried adhesive. Try to lift the adhesive off. Repeat the steps until the adhesive and residue is removed.
Step 3
Wipe the area clean of any tiny bits of remaining residue with a damp cloth.
Baby Oil or Vegetable Oil

Step 1
Apply a small amount of baby oil or vegetable oil onto a cloth.
Step 2
Rub the cloth into the adhesive residue. Coat the residue liberally with oil. Allow the oil to sit on the residue for five minutes.
Step 3
Wipe away the residue and oil with a damp cloth. Repeat as needed until all residue is removed.
Lubricating Spray
Step 1
Spray a liberal amount of lubricating spray directly on the dried adhesive residue, or spray into a cloth and rub onto the residue. Allow the lubricating spray to work into the residue for five to 10 minutes.
Step 2
Wipe the lubricating spray and residue away with a damp cloth. Repeat as needed until the residue is removed.
Step 3
Dip a cloth in a small amount of soapy dishwater, and clean all remaining lubricating spray residue.
