Purchase a winged closet lock to keep people from accessing your sliding-door closet. Move your closet doors into a closed position so you can install the lock.
Press the adhesive strip to the flat backside of the winged lock. Press the lock to the closet door that slides behind the other. The winged tips will prevent the other door from opening unless you press both of the wings down as you slide the front door open. Ensure the plastic winged lock is high enough that children will not be able to reach it.
Screw the penetrating side of a sliding bolt lock onto the front of the door, near the top. Install the corresponding piece of the sliding bold lock to the frame just above the first piece of the lock. The bolt should slide easily into the receiving side of the lock. Install a second sliding bolt lock on the other door.
