Glass shower doors are probably one of the most difficult parts of the house to keep clean. The shower doors always seem to have a buildup of soap scum, hard water stains and mineral deposits. Being that the shower is used so often, the shower doors seem like they are always in need of a cleaning. Many products are available to buy in stores, but they are all made with harsh chemicals. To save money and get an earth-friendly alternative, use natural products to create a glass shower door cleaner.
Things You'll Need
1 cup baking soda
1 cup salt
Clean, soft rag or sponge
Add 1 cup of baking soda and 1 cup of salt to a medium-size bowl.
Mix the baking soda and salt thoroughly.
Fill a spray bottle with white vinegar, and warm it by placing the spray bottle into a pot of hot water for a few minutes.
Spray your glass shower doors with the warm white vinegar.
Wet a clean, soft rag or sponge with plain water and dip the rag or sponge into the baking soda and salt mixture. The rag or sponge should be more than damp, but not dripping wet.
Spread the mixture on the glass shower doors.
After the doors are covered with the pasty salt and baking soda mixture, lightly mist with the white vinegar and wipe down your glass shower doors.
Rinse with plain water.
