Mirrors are often used as part of a bathroom or bedroom vanity set, as well as to make a small room seem bigger or to brighten a wall. Frameless mirrors maximize the mirror's coverage and make the most of the mirrored surface. However, they present setup challenges because they have no built-in method of hanging. You can use simple hardware to overcome this challenge and incorporate a frameless mirror into your home decor for an instantly brighter and airier room.
Step 1
Measure the dimensions for the frameless mirror. Choose a spot on your wall to hang the mirror. Measure the area to ensure the mirror will fit. Trace the mirror's dimensions onto the wall so you have an outline with which to work.

Step 2
Find the nearest studs. Use a stud finder if hanging the frameless mirror on drywall. If you are using a firmer surface, such as hardwood or concrete, skip to Step 3. Locate the four studs within the mirror's outline that are nearest to the mirror's four outlined corners. Mark each spot with the pencil.
Step 3
Set up J-shaped mirror clips. These clips are typically made of plastic or metal and have a small ledge that holds the mirror in place. If hanging a frameless mirror on drywall, use a screwdriver to attach each clip to the spots you marked using their included screws. If hanging the mirror on a hardwood or concrete surface, use a screwdriver or a drill to attach a clip to each corner of the mirror's outline. Tighten the two bottom clips firmly in place. Keep the top two clips slightly loose so they can jiggle and move in place.
Step 4
Slide the frameless mirror into the two bottom J-clips, pushing down firmly to lock them into the clips. Keep one hand pressing the mirror against the wall. Jiggle and slide the top two clips down over the top edge of the mirror, securing it against the wall. Use a screwdriver or drill to tighten the top two clips so they are no longer loose.
Warning
Wear safety glasses and gloves when working with the mirror to protect yourself should you drop the mirror.
