Mannequins are great sales tools. They show off clothing and other items of apparel better than any other method. However, dingy mannequins look shoddy. They can even detract from your overall sales display. You should clean all mannequins regularly to keep them spotless.

Step 1

Wash your hands thoroughly. Make sure that you have no dirt or grime on them or they will smudge your mannequin as you clean it.

Step 2

Wipe down your mannequin. Spray your mannequin with clean, clear water. Wipe it down with the lint-free cloth. Use gentle pressure and smooth, circular motions.

Step 3

Tackle smears and tough stains with a toothbrush and baking soda. Place a little baking soda on the head of the brush. Squirt the area. Scrub the stain until it disappears. Then rinse off the area using the spray bottle of water.

Step 4

Dry your mannequin thoroughly. Use a clean, dry, lint-free cloth. Rub the mannequin dry as if you were polishing it. Use small, firm, circular motions. This will leave the mannequin smooth and looking polished.
