Here is a step by step guide to help you make homemade beeswax sheets for creating and decorating rolled beeswax candles.

Video of the Day

Step 1

Fill an empty coffee can with 1 pound of beeswax pellets (See resources below for places to purchase beeswax pellets.) Place the coffee can into the top of a double boiler. Fill the bottom of a double boiler 1/2 full of water. Place the top of the double boiler inside the bottom part of the double boiler, and heat the unit over medium heat until the beeswax melts.

Step 2

Line a jelly roll pan with wax paper. Make sure that the wax side of the paper is facing out. Carefully pour the beeswax from the coffee can into the jelly roll pan until the wax is 1/8 inch thick. Place the coffee can back into the double boiler to keep the rest of the wax warm.

Step 3

Let the wax cool completely. Once the wax is cool, carefully lift the wax paper from the jelly roll pan. Peel the beeswax sheet from the wax paper. Repeat this process until all of the melted beeswax has been turned into sheets using wax paper and the jelly roll pan.
