Tissue Paper Pom Poms

Step 1

Stack the tissue paper neatly and, starting at one end, fold it together accordion style. Each fold should be 1-1/2 to 2 inches wide. Make sure to crease the edges well.

Step 2

Take the wire and wrap it around the center of the tissue paper tightly and cut off the excess. Then tie one end of a piece of string around it to hang the pom with.

Step 3

Fold the paper in half. Cut the ends of the tissue paper into either a rounded edge for a floral look or a point for a sunburst effect. Unfold the tissue paper, hold it in one hand and carefully separate each individual layer. Fluff as needed.

Step 2

Separate the sheets and lay the uncut ends together, slightly overlapping them. Fold your sheets in half lengthwise. It should look like a box in the middle with strips coming out on the right and left sides.

Step 3

Start at the top center of the folded tissue paper and tightly roll it up, forming a tube with tassels on each end. Bend the tube in half, twist it around to form a loop at the top and a large tassel at the bottom and hot glue the twist to secure it.
