Things You'll Need

  • 2 red linen strips, 2 feet long, 1 inch wide

  • White glue

  • 2 blue buttons, 1 inch diameter

  • 1 red linen strip, 1 foot long, 1 inch wide

  • Sewing needle

  • Red thread

  • Double-stick tape

Suspenders were once worn by men in lieu of wearing a belt, but also as a fashion statement. You can make a pretend pair of suspenders that appear to hold up your pants. Your "fake" suspenders are made from items acquired at a crafts store. Household supplies are needed as well.

Step 5

Turn the strips over. Place the end of each 2-foot strip with tape attached to it against your waist, to the left and right of your belly button.

Step 6
