It's time to get ready for the holiday entertaining season. Not only could your guests be marveling about your juicy, cooked-to-perfection turkey, the creamy mashed potatoes and your delicious pies, but they just might be talking about your delightful table scape for years to come. This colorful DIY felt fall leaves table runner is fun to make, will brighten up your fall table and make all your meals feel special.
Things You'll Need
Four different leaf shapes about 10-inches tall (hand drawn or dowloaded free clip art)
Five different colors of felt (1/2-yard or 8 pieces of each color)
Hot glue gun
Draw different leaf shapes on paper and cut them out for a pattern. If drawing isn't your thing, download some free online clip art leaves.
Pin the pattern onto two layers of felt and cut around the pattern.
Remove the pins and the pattern from the felt. Sew through both layers of felt all around the outer edge. Create leaf veins by sewing down the center and in from the sides. Continue to create as many leaves as you'd like for your table runner in various shapes and colors.
Place the leaves in a line, alternating each leaf's direction. Hot glue them together.
Let the holiday season begin!
