"I don't think this is exactly how you, oh hi, today we're going to show you how to upgrade the memory in your computer. No, no, no. How to upgrade the memory in your computer? It's actually quite a complicated process of disbursing static to static electric charge and matching pairs of RAMs. Now look, it's not quite that easy but it's not quite that complicated either. The Internet is a great resource, you can call your local computer store or computer guru and they can help you, but most certainly the manual for your computer is going to tell you what kind of memory that your computer can accept and how much it can accept. Also be aware that many computers require a matched pair. Now all computers have a way to access their memory banks, that's what we call where we put the memory. Laptop memory usually looks about this but its about half the size of desktop memory. This is currently what desktop memory looks like. On your laptop, you'll usually find a place normally on the bottom where you can unscrew a small screw, take a plate off and the memory will be extremely easy to put in and out. The more common memory upgrades are going to be to your desktops. You'll always be able to open up your computer and you should easily be able to recognize the memory slots. Also if you can see, memory has a longer section and a shorted section so it can usually only go into the computer one way. And you'll see that the slot has a shorter side and a longer side. So what you want to do is match up your memory with the grooves, these are the guide grooves and very gently, slide the memory down into the guide grooves. Before you press the memory into place, place your thumbs on either side and with gentle but even pressure, push down until the memory clicks into place. And that point, the holders ought to snap to hold the memory in place as well. And if you're installing it yourself, remember, brain over brawn. But most of all, hey, read the flipping manual."
