"Hi! I’m Jennifer on behalf of expertvillage.com. A Perfect Fit Alterations, 102 S. Main Street, Burleson, Texas, 817-447-3522. In this clip we’re going to talk a little about elastic. Different types of elastic come in different widths. This that we have here is a wash and wear polyester ribbed non-roll elastic, on the back of the package it will tell you what the elastic is made out of, how to care for it, how to sew it in and the different lengths that you will need. This elastic here is ¾ inch elastic, it’s a non-roll elastic, when you put it in the waistband you can tack it down in several places and it won’t roll and warp after you’ve washed it. This one here is a little bit narrower, you might use this on a back of a dress several, several rolls at a time to make designs and things of that nature on a back of a dress to draw in the dress. This would be used on a waistband on a skirt, this is also a non-rolls elastic and it comes in the package of about a yard, a little bit over a yard, it’s a pretty heavy duty elastic. "
