What Are the Different Endings in "Fallout: New Vegas"?
The video game "Fallout: New Vegas" has a few different endings depending on what choices you make throughout the game. These endings are specific to your character and to what groups you choose to align yourself with. It's possible to receive a different ending each time you play the game.
-
NCR Ending
-
If you assist the NCR throughout the game, including helping the NCR win the final battle at the Hoover Dam, you receive an ending that is beneficial for the NCR. This ending describes the benefits that the NCR brings to the wasteland, including the defeat of the Legion, the spreading of fresh water across the land, the protection of small towns and eradication of local gangs.
Mr. House Ending
-
Choosing to aid Mr. House halfway through the game leads to you avoiding the final battle, with the NCR and Legion effectively destroying themselves. Mr. House gains control over the New Vegas strip and local region, uniting the local gangs and tribes together. This ending is moderately positive, but has ominous overtones that suggest the future of the area may not be as positive as it seems.
-
Personal Ending
-
Killing Mr. House and taking over his robot army leads you to an ending that culminates with your taking over the New Vegas strip and local areas and also avoids the Hoover Dam battle. While this may be personally satisfying, your character does not have the experience required to unite the region. Your character is shown to devolve into a non-effective warlord of sorts, with the New Vegas strip torn apart.
Legion Ending
-
Aiding the Legion and securing their victory at the battle for the Hoover Dam leads to the Legion taking over the area. This ending is the polar opposite from the NCR ending, with the Legion killing thousands of people in New Vegas and the surrounding wasteland. The Legion does provide some structure in the region, but it comes at a high price.
