How to Load Articles As PowerPoint in Joomla
Joomla is an easy to use content management system. Using Joomla, you upload various forms of files to your website including Word documents, PowerPoint, PDF, SWF and Images. PowerPoints give visitors easy access to information on your Joomla site. The setup process requires no installation. Log in to your Joomla website administration. Click "Site" from the top menu of the administration interface and then "Global Configuration" to enter the configuration interface. Click "System" and find "Media Settings" section. Look for text "ppt" in the file type box next to "Legal Extensions (File Types)." Add ".ppt" at the end of the list of file types if unable to locate.

Go to "Site" and "Media Manager" to open the media Folders. The default media folder is set to "/images." Change this default folder by inputting your chosen media folder path such as "/images/ppt." Upload your prepared PPT file to the default folder or one of its sub-folders.

Click "Content" and then "Article Manager" to list all your articles. Select the article to insert the PPT file. Type text like "Download PPT1" in the HTML editor.

Highlight the text and click the hyperlink icon on the top of the editor. The link window appears. Locate your uploaded PPT file by clicking the browse icon next to the URL box. Click "Insert" to insert the hyperlink. Click the text on the front end and choose to download or open the PPT file.
