- Brocade ribbon at least 1 inch wide
- Embellishments
- Cloth measuring tape
- Scissors
- Straight pins
- Thread
- Needle

Measure around your neck with a cloth measuring tape.

Cut a brocade ribbon the length of your neck measurement plus 1/2 inch.

Fold the two ends of the ribbon under twice making a narrow hem. Pin in place.

Hand stitch the hem on the ends and remove the pins.

Double the thread on your needle and hand stitch the hemmed ends to the necklace clasp. Use the holes in the necklace clasp to run the needle and thread through in the same way you would sew on a button. Run through each hole at least three times to ensure the necklace clasp is securely attached.

Hand stitch a pendant or embellishment to the bottom of the brocade ribbon exactly in the center.
