How to Report Bullying to Facebook

Facebook has an actual person evaluate each report of bullying.

For the most part, Facebook is a friendly place to exchange information with your friends. Once in a while, however, a bad apple might try to make your social networking experience a negative one. When someone is bullying you on the website, report it to Facebook so that the offender can be dealt with. Facebook also recommends that you document the bullying behavior by saving a copy of the message--print the Web page to create a hard copy. Use the block feature in "Privacy Settings" to stop another member from being able to see your profile or contact you in any way.

Instructions

1. Report a person for bullying behavior by pointing your browser to his profile. Either enter his name in the search field at the very top of Facebook to find his profile, or click on his name next to one of his posts.

2. Scroll down to the bottom of his friend list in the left column of the screen. Click the blue "Report/Block This Person" link.

3. Select "This person is bullying or harassing me" as the reason for your report. Click the circle immediately to the left of the option to select it. Click "Continue" to send the report.

4. Report a specific post as bullying by hovering your mouse over the post and clicking on the "x" in the upper right corner of the post.

5. Click "Report as Abuse" from the menu. Choose "It's harassing me" or "It's harassing a friend" by clicking on the circle next to the appropriate response and then click "Continue" to send the report.
