Instructions

Start with a white base. Pull on a white t-shirt and white pants, or white pajamas, or even thermal underwear. Off-white is fine as well. Since the mummy strips won't cover you entirely, you need a base so the costume still looks good and you won't get cold. White socks and white shoes will complete the foundation of this costume.

Find something to use for the wrappings of the mummy. This can be medical gauze you may have in the medicine cabinet, white toilet paper or an old white bedsheet that can be ripped into long strips. Toilet paper may run the risk of tearing easily, so the gauze or bedsheet may be the more durable option.

Wrap yourself from head to toe in your chosen mummy wraps. Wrap your head, leaving strips across your face loose and making sure they don't obscure your eyes or nose. To make hands look more mummy-like, slip on a pair of white gloves before you wrap your hands, if you have a pair handy. If not, just wrap your hands as best you can. Leave shoes unwrapped. Tie the ends of wrappings to secure them, if necessary.

Apply some makeup. Use green, gray, black or brown eye shadows to create a creepy mummy face by enhancing eyes and even dusting some color on to the rest of the face. Use red lipstick to look like blood. The lipstick can be used as a crayon to draw some bloody gashes on the mummy wrappings to look extra creepy.
