How to Share a Link to a Website on Skype

The "mood" feature in Skype allows you to place just about anything, including video and Web links, into a text area that appears below your name to other contacts in your list. Unlike a message, the "mood" stays as a static piece of text that your contacts see while they talk to you. When you share a URL within your Skype "mood," the program automatically formats the link so your contacts may click on it and open it in their default browsers.

Instructions

    • 1

Start your Skype messenger and log in to your account.

    • 2

Click on your name near the top of the window.

    • 3

Click the "Profile" tab on the right side of your window.

    • 4

Click the box next to "Mood."

    • 5

Type the URL to which you would like to link. If the URL doesn't have "www" in front of it, add "http://" in front of the URL. The URL appears after you leave the "Profile" page.
