Printing photos on canvas or cloth can help you create something that is unique and makes a special gift. The cloth or canvas can be placed on clothes or bags or made into a bag or wall hanging. These could also be used as appliques if made small enough; they can then be attached to clothes. For canvas the obvious uses are as a picture in a frame or a patch on a pillow or comforter.

Tips & Warnings

  • Check that your printer will take photo transfer paper. Test the photo on plain paper first. Certain printers can print straight onto canvas such as the Canon PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II Colour A3+ Inkjet Printer.

  • Remember the image needs to be reversed before printing so that it will appear the right way once transferred to the canvas or cloth unless you are printing directly onto canvas. If you are printing directly onto canvas from a printer remember it will use a lot of ink so have some spare cartridges.
