Those yellow tennis balls might not look like much more than small balls of rubber, but they have many uses, including acting as inexpensive sliders for your chair. Placing tennis balls on the bottom of your chair allows you to easily slide the chair out and protect your floors from scuff marks at the same time. Of course, you can't place an uncut tennis ball on the bottom of your chair legs, so you'll need to first make a cut into the tennis ball. Does this Spark an idea?

      Examine four tennis balls. Make sure there are no holes or tears in the tennis balls.

      Cut an "X" shape into the top of four tennis balls by using a serrated knife or utility knife.

      Place one tennis ball onto the bottom of each chair leg, ensuring that the bottom of the chair leg fits into the X-shaped hole.
