How to Fold a Paper Origami Knife
Origami, the art of folding paper, is a fun craft for both kids and adults. A paper knife is an easy project but should only be used for display, not as a weapon. Keeping your lines and folds straight and precise will always create the best looking and most workable origami pieces. Special origami paper is available in a variety of colors and patterns, or you may use copy or printer paper and cut it in a square shape.

1
Fold the paper in half, forming a triangle. Fold again in the other direction, forming a smaller triangle. Unfold both folds.
-
2
Place the paper in front of you so that it is positioned in a diamond shape. Fold both sides in to the center line at an angle that forms a point at the bottom. It will now look like an arrow pointed down connected to an arrow pointed up, with a straight line across the upper third of the paper.

-
3
Fold the corners that come together at the straight line back along the diagonal line created by the folding and unfolding you performed in Step 1. It will now resemble the wrapping for a bouquet of flowers. The corners should line up with the outside edge of the point.
-
4
Fold the two small triangles that form the right and left points in towards the center. They should be folded along the line created by folding the two corners down in Step 3. Unfold them, flip the paper over and fold them again towards the back.
-
5
Fold both sides in towards the center line, keeping the paper flipped to the back side. Fold the top triangle down toward the center.
-
6
Fold the paper in half and tape it together. It should look like a knife.
