Install Multiple Satellite DirecTV

DirecTV is a satellite television service offered in the United States. DirecTV broadcasts a television signal through a satellite dish attached to the outside of your home. The dish receives a signal from multiple DirecTV satellites orbiting the Earth. Unlike cable television, where each wired room often has a cable television outlet, DirecTV requires you to split the satellite signal if you want to set up multiple receivers.

Instructions

    • 1

Connect the two RG-6 coaxial cables coming from the DirecTV satellite to the input ports of the 2 x 4 multiswitch. The multiswitch has two input ports and four output ports, as suggested by the name.

    • 2

Connect two RG-6 coaxial cables to two different output ports on the 2 x 4 multiswitch. Each output port can connect to a different DirecTV satellite receiver.

    • 3

Connect the other ends of the two RG-6 coaxial cables, which are connected to the multiswitch output, to two different satellite receivers. Connect more output cables to the multiswitch to increase the number of receivers.
