For most purposes, the regular 200 lb. test is fine and not difficult to work with. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Measure the dimensions of the things you want to store and figure out the dimensions for the box you will build. Add in space for packing material to protect it if you are storing something fragile.
-
2
Mark a rectangle onto a piece of cardboard that matches the length and width of your dimensions. To check that it is even, measure the diagonals, which should be equal. This will be the template for the top and bottom. Cut it out.

3
Mark another piece of cardboard with a rectangle to the size of your height and width, and another to the height and length. These will be used to mark sides of the box. Cut them out.
-
4
Place the first rectangle you cut out (for the top and bottom of the box), onto a large sheet of cardboard and outline it. Keep it tight to the edges of the rectangle. Mark it so you will know it is the bottom of the box.
-
5
Mark out four more rectangles adjacent and connected to the one you just marked on the cardboard using the other two rectangles.
-
6
Cut out the form you have drawn onto the cardboard using the utility knife, with the straight edge as a guide.
-
7
Run the utility knife lightly over the interior lines you drew on the cut out cardboard that define the sides of the box. Don't cut all the way through. This scoring makes it easier to fold.
-
8
Fold the four sides of the box directly adjacent to the bottom of the box (that you marked) up and tape them along the seams.
-
9
Fill your box, fold the top flap over and seal it with tape for storage.
