How to Remove Landfill Zone From "SimCity 4"

"SimCity 4" is a simulation game for the PC platform by Electronic Arts in which players build and maintain a city. Landfills in "SimCity 4" are a necessity, as your city needs a place to dump its garbage. However, once a landfill is full, you can get rid of it so you can repurpose the land for other use.

Instructions

1. Fill up the landfill with trash. It is best not to get rid of one landfill until it is full. Click the landfill to see how much garbage is in it. Each landfill holds 300 tons of trash.

2. Close off all the roads to the landfill. Select the roads that lead to the landfill and destroy them.

3. Build a new landfill by selecting an out-of-the-way area and build a new road to it. Wait for the other landfill to decompose. The rate of decomposition is about 15 tons per month. Once the landfill has zero garbage in it, select it and click "Remove."

Tips & Warnings

• You must have at least one landfill available for your city, or the inhabitants will not be happy.
