Wash and dry real hair. Once it has dried, secure it to head with hair clips and pins. If hair is long enough, it can be wrapped around the head and secured.

Place a wig cap on your head, making sure it covers all of your hair. Some wig caps are plastic while others are fabric and porous. Take hair extensions out of their packaging and measure them to ensure desired length. Apply bonding glue to extensions and place firmly on wig cap at the nape of the neck.

Tips & Warnings
Styrofoam heads can also be used to style wigs if your wig cap is fabric and porous to avoid getting bonding glue on real hair. The wig might need to be stretched out if this method is used, however, as often times these heads are smaller than human heads.
If wigs are made from human hair, keep them in good shape by shampooing and conditioning them every few weeks depending on how often you wear them. Never rub or scrunch wigs as this can cause tangling and premature fraying.
If you are using synthetic hair, brush talcum powder into hair to reduce plastic shine look that comes with most fake hair.
Be careful not to get glue on skin or hair. If glue gets on hair, spray with oil sheen and then wash with shampoo and conditioner. Let hair sit with the conditioner in it and comb with wide-tooth comb after rinsing. Rubbing alcohol can be used to get the glue off the skin.
