Instructions

    • 1

Place hot rollers throughout your hair, starting at the top of your head. Each section of hair rolled in a roller should be about two inches in width. Keep the rollers in your hair for 15-20 minutes.

    • 2

Spritz your hair lightly with hairspray while the rollers are still in your hair. Remove each roller, but be careful not to "pull out" the curls.

    • 3

Tease the top of your hair using a rat tail comb. Tease just the hair at the crown of your head to add volume.

    • 4

Place your hair into a simple ponytail. For an updo, make the ponytail at the middle of the head. For a down 'do, place the ponytail at the nape of the neck. Use the end of your comb to loosen the hair around the ponytail.

    • 5

Insert the bobby pins. Each curl from the rollers should be pinned down. Wrap the hair loosely around the ponytail--in no particular pattern--and pin the end until it stays in place. Make sure to pin around the entire ponytail so that the hair tie cannot be seen.

    • 6

Repeat Step 5 until all of the hair has been pinned down around the ponytail.

    • 7

Add a spritz of hairspray to keep your look in place.
