How Can I Get Java for Frost Wire?

FrostWire is a peer-to-peer file sharing program that allows users the ability to download almost any known file format from other users of the FrostWire service. However, the program does require Java installed to run properly. Java is an Internet-based application designed to display videos and other graphics on web programs, such as FrostWire.

Instructions

1. Open the Internet browser and navigate to the Java download page (see Resources for link).

2. Click "Download" and the Java application downloads to the computer.

3. Close out FrostWire and the Internet browser. Java is used to upgrade most Internet-based programs and the software needs to be closed in order to obtain the update.

4. Double-click the downloaded file. In a moment, the installation wizard appears on the screen. Select "Next" on the welcome page, accept the license agreement, then click "Next" for both the installation name and location (this leaves the prompts as the default settings). Click "Install" and Java installs onto the computer, upgrading all Internet-based programs, including FrostWire.
