How to Send Multiple Text Messages From Windows Mobile Cell Phones

Save

On cell phones that run the Windows Mobile operating system, you can send a variety of types of messages, including standard text messages (SMS), video and picture messages (MMS), and regular email.

In sending a text message to one person, the character limit is generally 160 per message. If your text is longer than that, however, Windows Mobile will automatically break it up into multiple messages for you.

You can also send text messages to multiple people at once.

Things You'll Need

  • Windows Mobile 6.0 or higher
  • Tap the Start menu at the top left corner of your phone screen, and select "Programs" from the list.

  • Scroll through the programs list until you find "Messaging" and tap the icon to open it.

  • Tap "SMS/MMS" in the account list to open text messaging.

  • Tap the "Menu" option at the bottom of the screen, then select "New" and "SMS" to start a new text message.

  • Tap the "Menu" option at the bottom of the screen, then select "Add Recipient."

  • Scroll through your contact list and tap a name of someone you want to send the text message to.

  • The name you tapped is now added to the "To" field of your text message. Repeat steps 5 and 6 to add additional people you want to send the text message to.

  • Once you've added all the recipients you want, enter your message and then tap the "Send" option at the bottom of the screen.
