Santa is very good at knowing what boys and girls would like for Christmas. But because he has so many children on his list, he could forget the one present your child wants more than anything. Prevent that catastrophe by giving your child these instructions on writing a reminder letter to Santa.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Ask your parents, or an older brother or sister, to give you a pen and some writing paper.

  2. Step 2

Think hard about what you'd really love to find under your tree on Christmas morning.

  3. Step 3

Begin your letter "Dear Santa." (This is called a salutation.)

  4. Step 4

Tell him you've been very good all year. (He knows this already, but it never hurts to remind him.)

  5. Step 5

Ask him to please bring you the presents you'd like. (Don't forget the "please." Santa likes children with good manners.)

  6. Step 6

Start with the one or two things you want the most, then mention others that would be nice but that don't matter as much.

  7. Step 7

Remind Santa of presents your older brothers or sisters might like ' especially if you know they're not writing letters of their own.

  8. Step 8

Thank Santa for being so generous.

  9. Step 9

Write a closing such as "Love" or "Sincerely" and sign your name.

  10. Step 10

Give the letter to your mother or father to mail for you.

Tips & Warnings
  • Even though he works so hard, Santa looks jolly all the time because giving things to people is fun. Try it yourself. Make presents for your family and friends. (Ask your parents or teachers to help.)
  • It's also fun to give to people you don't know. Find some toys you don't play with anymore and ask your parents to give them to a charity.

on 11/22/2005 You can add to the fun by getting your letter from Santa postmarked at the North Pole.

Simply send your letter inside another sealed, stamped envelope to: North Pole Christmas Cancellation, Postmaster, 5400 Mail Trail, Fairbanks, AK 99709-9999.

on 11/22/2005 Put something special in with your letter, so he will remember it. Try something small, like a necklace that says your name on it.

on 11/22/2005 It's very important for your letter to get on the top of Santa's mail bag, so don't wait to send your letter until Christmas time. Let Santa get his Christmas shopping done early. Send your letter NOW!!

on 12/8/2008 To address your letter, simply write Santa Claus, North Pole, and place a regular US postage stamp on the envelope. Don't forget your return address (just to make sure). It is also a good idea to send regards to Mrs. Claus, the elves and even the reindeer
