How to Make Labels for CD's on the Computer
Making labels for CDs is a great way to help organize your collection. You can make CD labels on the computer using a label maker or word processing software, provided you have a printer and adhesive label paper. Adding printed text and images to your CDs may provide a more tidy alternative to handwriting with a marker.

- Printer
- Label maker or word processing software

Choose the "CD label" template in your label maker or word processing software's "New File" or "New Project" menu. A CD-shaped field will appear.

Insert text into an already existing text field on the CD layout field. Use your program's text tool, denoted by a letter icon in your menu bar, to click and create a new text field if necessary. Select "Insert Image" from the "Insert" tab in the menu bar to add an image to a text field on your CD layout.

Click and drag the text and image fields to arrange them as desired within the CD layout field. Click and drag a corner of the text field to resize it if necessary.

Load the printer with CD label adhesive paper.

Select the "Print" option under the "File" tab in your label maker or word processing software. Select "CD Label" from the list of print templates if necessary. Click "Print" to send the image to your printer.
