How to Cut & Paste Flower Bouquets for Mother's Day
Creating a special gift for mom on Mother's Day is important to children. Incorporate this gift making in the classroom with a fun and easy project that even the youngest children can make without much difficulty. Add photographs of the children to personalize the flower bouquets or use various craft supplies to decorate the flowers instead.

1
Use a pencil to draw flower shapes on solid-colored construction paper. Cut the shapes out using scissors. Trace the same designs, in a slightly larger size, onto patterned paper. You could also use flower-shaped stencils in various sizes instead of drawing the flowers freehand.
-
2
Glue the construction paper flowers onto the center of the patterned paper flowers, leaving a decorative border around the flowers.
-
-
3
Cut photos into circles that will fit inside the flower shapes. Glue the photos into the center of each of the flowers. This step is optional. You could leave the centers of the flowers blank or use markers, glitter or paint instead of photos.
-
4
Place a green pipe cleaner on to the back of each flower and attach it to the paper using tape.
-
5
Bunch the paper flowers into a bouquet and place them inside a vase or tie the ends with a piece of ribbon in a bow.
