How to Access a Netopia Router
When you use a wireless Internet connection, it is important to be able to alter your wireless security settings and other wireless options by logging into your router. Netopia is a wireless router manufacturer that is a part of Motorola, and like other wireless routers, the administrative console for Netopia routers must be accessed using a computer's web browser.

1
Connect to the Internet using your Netopia router.

2
Open a web browser and type 192.168.1.1 into the address bar. This is the default IP address for newer Netopia Routers. If this number doesn't work try using 192.168.1.254 which was used on older Netopia models. If neither number works, consult your router's user manual for the exact IP address, or click "Start," "Run," "Command," "Ok," then type "ipconfig," press enter, and use the number under "Default Gateway."

3

-
5
Click "Ok" to accept the user name and password. This will log you in to the router's administrative panel where you can access and make changes to the router's settings.
