Click "download" from the upper corner of the photo calendar template description box. This will download a zip folder titled "photo-calendar-templates." Navigate your computer to locate the download location of the zip file. When opening the zip file, you will be shown a preview of templates for 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2014 calendars. Each of these files will be Microsoft Excel formats. If you want to extract all files, select "extract all files" on the folder window, or double-click on the individual template that you wish to open.

Double-click your desired template and it will open in Microsoft Excel. You will see a blank calendar, listed with holidays, and a space to insert a photo. At the bottom of the spreadsheet, you will notice 12 tabs, each assigned to a specific month of the year. Each of these tabs is an individual page of your printable calendar. To insert photos into your calendar, first delete that reserved picture space, then insert a picture from your file, using the "Insert" drop-down menu at the top of the Excel window. You can repeat this procedure for each of the 12 calendar pages. To input additional holidays, birthdays, and special occasions, simply click your cursor in the calendar date box and type in your text.

Review the mini-calendar printout instructions found on the vertex42.com website. While the template is designed to enable mini-calendar printing, it can be difficult without following a proper diagram. Using 8.5-inch-by-11-inch paper, print out all pages of the calendar. To properly assemble the mini-calendar, make sure all pages are aligned as shown in the printing diagram, then fold the calendar pages in half from top-to-bottom. Your printable mini-calendar is now complete!
