How to Make Covers for Disposable Cameras
It's become traditional at weddings to leave disposable cameras on tables around the reception area for guests to use to document the event from their perspective. While the greens and yellows used on most disposable cameras' cardboard covers may match some wedding themes, many people choose to create custom "skins" for disposable cameras, using photos of themselves, flowers or other wedding-friendly images. With the use of a template, your wedding (or any party!) can be completely unique.

- Adobe Photoshop
- Scissors

Visit the website http://www.thecraftypc.com/discamskin.html in your browser. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "Camera Skin Template," which should open a new window with the template. Right-click on the template and select "copy image."

Open Adobe Photoshop and select "File" --> "New" to open a new document. Click "OK" for the measurements, which should be set to fit what you've just copied. Select "File" --> "Paste" to paste the template image into the box.

Use the "Quick Selection Tool" on the left-hand menu of Photoshop and select all of the white shapes within the template. Click on each shape to select it until all are selected at once. Click on the "Delete" button on your keyboard to delete the white space and leave only the outline of the template.

Select any clipart or photos you'd like to use to decorate your customized disposable cameras and paste or drag them into the template image.

Drag the new top layer from the "Layers" box on the bottom right-hand corner of Photoshop and move it below the second layer, making it actually the second layer. The image should appear through the removed white spaces, and the outline and gray shapes should remain.

Select "Image" --> "Image Size" and resize the image to 7.25 by 7.13 and select "inches" from the drop-down menu. Click "OK."

Add text to your camera by using the "T" icon in the left-hand menu of Photoshop. Click "File" --> "Save" when you're done creating your custom camera cover and save the image as a "JPEG" so you can easily print the image later.

Select "File" --> "Print" to print the image. Cut along the border and carefully cut out the gray holes in the template. Fit your new cover around the cover and tape or glue it together carefully.
