These flowers are relatively simple to make and take very little time to construct. Crocheted flowers can be bold and bright or a sweet and small addition to a feminine accessory.

Chain four, then join with a slip stitch to form a ring. Chain six, then double crochet in the ring and chain three. Double crochet in the ring again, and chain three again. Do this two more times. Join with a slip stitch to the third stitch in the original chain six. This creates five petals.

Slip stitch into the first petal opening, then chain one. In the same first petal, single crochet, then half-double crochet, three-double crochet, half-double crochet and single crochet. Repeat these stitches in the remaining four petals. Join with a slip stitch in the first single crochet.

Chain six. Back-post double crochet around the center of the double crochet from Step 1, then chain five. Do this three more times, then join with a slip stitch to the first chain in this row.

Slip stitch into the first petal, then chain one. In each petal, do one single crochet, one half-double crochet, five double crochets, one half-double crochet and one single crochet. Join with a slip stitch in the beginning single crochet.

Chain eight. Back-post double crochet around the single crochet from Step 3, then chain seven. Do this three more times in the single crochets of Step 3. Join with a slip stitch in the beginning chain of this row.

Slip stitch in the first petal and chain one. In each petal, do one single crochet, one half-double crochet, seven double crochets, one half-double crochet and one single crochet. Join with a slip stitch to the first chain one. Fasten off and weave in the loose end of the yarn. Use a button in the center of the flower when fastening to your crocheted item.
