Instructions

    • 1

Glue the macrame rope all around the terra cotta saucer. Start at the bottom and work your way up until the entire saucer is covered with rope.

    • 2

Paint the wooden ball with the gold paint. Let it dry and glue it to the center of the bottom of the saucer. This will now be the bee hive lid.

    • 3

Hot glue the rope to the terra cotta pot. Do it the same way you glued the rope onto the saucer. Start from the bottom and work your way to the top. This pot will be the base of the bee hive. Place the bee hive lid on top of the now bee hive base.

    • 4

Draw a semi-circle at the bottom of the bee hive base. Paint the circle black so it looks like a hole for the bees.

    • 5

Wrap black pipe cleaners around the yellow pom poms. You can glue them down if you want, but it is not necessary if you mold the pipe cleaners. Make wings out of the yellow pipe cleaner and glue them to the top of the pom pom bees. Glue the bees in various places around the bee hive.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use black and yellow pom poms. Place googly eyes on the bees for more detail. Use the black pipe cleaner to make antennas on the bees.
