1
Decide if you will ask guests to attend the birthday party in costume. To cut down on costs, even for the guests, have kids come dressed as one of the "Twilight" characters. Attendees can be creative with inexpensive makeup and wear regular street clothing. If you opt not to have anyone dress in costume or character, have guests wear red and black to the party to set the "Twilight" mood.
-
2
Purchase paperback copies of the "Twilight" series of books to use as decorations on tables throughout the party. You can put these to good use later on by drawing guests' names out of a hat to see who gets to take the books home as party favors.

3
Download soundtracks for the "Twilight" movies to play throughout the party. Use digital versions, which may be less expensive, so you can play the music through a computer or laptop with speakers. If you have a CD player, consider looking for used CDs online or at music stores.

4
Paint popular phrases and sayings from the "Twilight" series to hang throughout the party space as decorations. Use heavy cardboard in either solid red or solid black. Use poster paint in red or black. Cut the poster board after writing the sayings and create varying shapes. For example, on black poster board, paint the saying, "So you faint at the sight of blood?"

5
Create hanging streamers naming the characters from the "Twilight" series. Use thick, bright red satin ribbon, which you can purchase on large spools. Cut the ribbon into 12-inch lengths. Use a fabric marker in black to write the names of all "Twilight" characters vertically on the ribbons. Hang the ribbons from ceilings, doors and windows throughout the room where the birthday party is being held.
-
6
Set up a television in the room where the birthday party is being held. Use more than one television if you have extra televisions available and have the space. Have the "Twilight" movies playing, on continual loop, throughout the party. Kkeep the movies muted so they do not distract attention away from the party.

7
Plan the food and menu beverage with the black and red theme associated with the "Twilight" series in mind. Serve red fruit punch, whole red apples -- which represent the cover of the first "Twilight" book -- and an assortment of spicy snacks. Bake your own cake with a boxed red velvet cake mix and top it with inexpensive canned cream cheese frosting that you've dyed red or black. Don't forget to use red and black plates, cups and napkins.

If your budget allows, add extra "Twilight"-themed decorations throughout the party area. Consider inexpensive items, such as red and black helium-filled balloons, red and black fresh or silk flowers as centerpieces, red and black candles to burn throughout the event and even inexpensive plastic fangs to place around tables as extra party favors.

Consider substituting red light bulbs for your regular white light bulbs. This works especially well for a "Twilight"-themed party if you have decorated primarily in black.
