Things You'll Need:
- 2 pieces of polar fleece (complimentary patterns or colors) Scissors Straight edge ruler Sewing machine Thread Pins Disappearing fabric pen
-
Step 1
Cut the polar fleece fabrics into rectangles that are 4 1/2 inches wide and 45 inches long.
-
Step 2
Place the polar fleece pieces together with right sides facing each other. Pin the pieces on both long sides together to secure.
-
Step 3
Stitch along both long edges using a 1/4-inch seam allowance. This will create a long polar fleece tube.
-
Step 4
Turn the polar fleece tube right side out.
-
Step 5
Lay the polar fleece tube on a flat work surface and measure the fringe through both fleece layers on both short edges. Measure the cuts for the fringe 1/4 inch apart and 3 inches long. Mark the location of the fringe cuts with the disappearing fabric pen.
-
Step 6
With the scissors, cut the fringe through both polar fleece thicknesses along the marked lines on both short edges of the polar fleece to finish the polar fleece scarf.
