How to Create a Word Jumble
A word jumble can be a fun activity for people to play with or for parents and teachers to give to children to help them learn to spell and read new vocabulary terms. For some people, word jumbles are easy to do because they are able to rearrange the letters in their minds with little problem. However, for others, jumbles can be rather difficult.

Open up a Web browser and go to the word-scramble-creator website. This website allows users to plug in the information for the word scramble in order to be able to create it.

Enter the words that will be used in the word scramble puzzle in the boxes on the page. This word-scramble creator allows users to enter up to 54 words to scramble. Fewer words can be used.

Type in the title, the name of the author and the description of the puzzle if desired. These items are not required; however, if several words scrambles are to be created, it may be a good idea to give each one a different title to keep them better organized.

Choose the settings for the puzzle. At the bottom of the page there are a number of drop-down menus that allow the user to customize the word-scramble puzzle. For example, the person creating the puzzle can choose the color as the puzzle, the color of the puzzle's background, the font size of the puzzle and the PDF's page size.

Click on the button at the bottom of the page that says "Make Puzzle." A new page will appear that includes all of the scrambled words as well as a box next to each scrambled word in which the correct answer can be typed.

Choose what to do with the puzzle. The puzzle can be completed online and the work can also be checked online by clicking on the "Check Answers" button at the bottom of the screen. Answer keys can also be printed on this page. A person who wants to print out the puzzles can print them out as HTML or PDF versions by clicking on the appropriate buttons.

Tips & Warnings
Even though there are ads on the Web page, they will not appear on the printed page.
It can take a few moments to make a PDF out of the puzzle. Do not touch any of the keys on the keyboard or the mouse as the PDF is being generated. Doing so could prolong the process.
