Things You'll Need:
- Black duct tape
- Orange skirt
- Orange ball cap
- Large safety pins
- White men's wig
- Wiffle ball bat
- Newspaper
- Flour
- Water
- Stove pot
- Scissors
- Hot glue gun
- Plastic dog bone
- Dark brown felt
- Tape measure
- Velcro adhesive tape
- Dark brown spray paint
-
Step 1
Cut the skirt with scissors to create a jagged hem that will fall between your knee and your thigh.
-
Step 2
Take your sash measurements. Place the tape measure at your left hip and pull it over your right shoulder, looping it down your back to your right belt line. Add 5 inches to the measurement.
-
Step 3
Cut a strip of dark-brown felt that measures 4 1/2 inches wide with a length equal to your sash measurement.
-
Step 4
Cut equilateral triangles from the black duct tape and stick them to the orange skirt and ball cap.
-
Step 5
Make a papier-mache bat. Boil four parts water to one part flour in a stove pot and allow the mixture to cool. Cut long vertical strips of newspaper and run them through the mixture. Wrap the newspaper strips around the Wiffle ball bat, adding layers for increased fullness toward the top, and allow to dry.
-
Step 6
Spray paint the bat dark brown.
-
Step 7
Assemble Bamm-Bamm's toga. Wear the skirt. Use safety pins to attach the front of the brown sash to the skirt's front at the left hip, pulling it over your right shoulder and attaching it to the skirt at the lower right back. Cut a piece of soft Velcro tape and adhere it to the sash of the toga near the skirt's hemline. Adhere a piece of abrasive Velcro tape to the back of the plastic dog bone, and attach the bone to the sash.
-
Step 8
Place the white wig on your head underneath the decorated orange ball cap. Carry the papier-mached bat to complete the look.
