Instructions

    • 1

Buy beads the color of your choice. Opaque, silver, crème and white are all ideal colors for the tiara.

    • 2

Bend the three copper rods into a U shape. This will be the shape of the tiara; it should be adjusted by fitting to the person wearing the tiara.

    • 3

Use the steel wool to buff the rods until they are shiny and don't have black spots.

    • 4

String 10 beads onto the beading wire. Add one crystal bead. Continue this process until all the beads and crystal beads have been strung. End this process with the 10 treasure beads. Make sure to leave at least 6 to 7 inches of the beading wire on either side. You will need this wire later in the process.

    • 5

String the one wide silver bead onto the copper rods on one end only. You will need at least 1/2 inch to an inch of the copper rod left at the end. Wrap the beading wire around the copper tail at least four times. This will make it extra secure. Trim excess wire.

    • 6

Wrap the beading wire around the copper wires. Continue this process until the wire reaches the other side. Make sure to evenly space the wire around the tiara. Secure on the other side the same as before. The key is to have looser wire in the back of the tiara and tighter wire in the front. This gives the wearer room to adjust the tiara on their head. Repeat this process on the other side of the tiara, making sure the wire is even on both sides.

    • 7

Use the heavy duty glue to attach the silver beads to the tiara on either side. Do only one bead at a time. Once you position the bead on the glue, hold the bead down for at least a minute to make sure it is secure. After you have placed all the final beads on the tiara, stand the tiara in the upright position and leave there for at least 24 hours. This will allow the glue to set.
