1
Cut the corners from one side of the large square foam piece, using the razor blade, so that it appears rounded. You can do this by starting at each corner and slicing down to the bottom at an angle. This will give the square a cone look. At the top of the cone go down about a half inch and cut straight across.

2
Measure the child's head. Draw a circle on the other side of the square about a half inch larger than the measurements. Use the razor blade to cut out the circle and hollow out the middle of the foam. This will make the square into the main part of the hat.

3
Make the pot handle with the medium-sized foam square. Cut the top and the bottom off of the square to create a thin rectangle. Glue this on the back of the main part of the hat.
-
4
Spray paint the entire hat with silver spray paint. Put on one coat of paint and allow to dry. Apply a second coat and allow to dry.
-
5
Draw an apple shape on the red construction paper and cut it out. On the green paper draw a leaf and cut it out. Use the brown construction paper to draw a small stem and cut it out. Glue all of the pieces together to make an apple and glue the apple on the front of the hat.
-
6
Trace around the top of the hat to give it a more circle look, using the black marker. Trace around the bottom and the pan handle using the same process. Draw a small circle on the end of the pan handle to look like the hole at the end of the handle.
