How to Make Beaded Crochet Bracelets

Many people enjoy making and wearing colorful beaded bracelets. It is also a great project for kids to do. These make ideal friendship bracelets. Once you make a beaded bracelet, you can easily make necklaces from the same pattern by just increasing the length.

Things You'll Need

• Size 10 cotton crochet thread, any color
• (68) 4mm beads, any color
• Size G crochet hook
• 2 jump rings
• 1 clasp, any style
• 2 pairs of small pliers or tweezers

Instructions

1. 

   String all the beads onto the cotton thread.

2. 

   Make a chain of 6 stitches for Row 1. Then make a single crochet in the 2nd chain from the hook. Make a double crochet in the next chain. In the next stitch make a double crochet, chain 3 and another double crochet in the same stitch. Make a single stitch in the last chain. Chain 4 and turn.

3. 

   Make a single crochet in the next chain 3 space for Row 2. Chain 1 and double crochet in top of single crochet. Chain 1 and turn.

4. 

   Make a single stitch in the top of the next double crochet for Row 3. Double crochet in the next chain. In the next stitch, make a double crochet, chain 3 and another double crochet. Double crochet in the next stitch. Then, make a single crochet in the next stitch. Chain 4 and turn.

5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you have 30 rows. Do not fasten off.

6. Add beads. You will be working down the left side first. Make a single crochet in the next chain 3 space. Pull a bead up and rest it next to the stitch you just made. Now make a single stitch in the same space as the previous stitch. In the next row, make a single stitch, pull up another bead and repeat the single stitch in the same space again. Continue this step until you reach the end and make 2 single crochet stitches in the corner space. Only place single stitches across the bottom, no beads. Then 2 single crochet stitches in the next corner space.

7. Repeat this step down the next long side. Fasten the ends off. Finally, attach the jump rings and clasp to each end of the bracelet with small pliers or tweezers.
