How to Make Paper Curtains
Here is an idea for a window covering that is not only extremely unique, but green as well. This may be a perfect choice for a teen who likes to be different or perhaps you have a decor in your home that tends toward the unusual. Whatever the case, this is a window treatment that is inexpensive, easy, and promises to be memorable!
Here are instructions for making a paper curtain out of paper chains that are attached to a simple curtain rod.

Mount the curtain rod to the window you will be covering. The kit includes the adjustable rod, the necessary hardware and 12 clips.

Cut paper strips out of old magazines. The strips should be approximately 3/4 to 1 inch wide and 6 to 8 inches long. The number of strips needed will depend on the length of your curtain.

Construct the paper chains by making one loop of paper and either gluing or taping it closed. Link another paper chain into the first chain and glue or tape it closed. Continue linking chains until you have a chain that is the length desired for the curtain.

Make twelve lengths of paper chains in the same manner as Step 3.

Stand on the ladder and carefully attach each of the twelve lengths of paper chains to a curtain clip on the curtain rod.

Arrange the paper chains so that they are evenly distributed along the curtain rod.

Tips & Warnings
Be careful with these curtains as they are not extremely durable. The paper will rip easily.
