Choose a tea towel with a colorful pattern.

Making a tea towel angel is a great way to decorate your home for guests or to give as a gift, such as for a housewarming party. Tea towels are the same as dish or kitchen towels, although they are often more fancy and decorative, and may be made from a lighter material than ordinary dish towels. For a tea towel angel, choose one with a colorful pattern for a more decorative angel.

Instructions

    • 1

Fold your tea towel lengthwise into a fan-style fold. Fold the towel in half and wrap a small piece of ribbon around the fold about 3 inches to 4 inches down to make the head of the angel.

    • 2

Fan-fold the wash cloth in the same way you did the tea towel. You may also use a tea towel for this step, but it should be a smaller size than the one you used in Step 1. Once it has been fan-folded, tie a piece of ribbon around the middle of it to keep it secure.

    • 3

Fold the pot holder in the shape of a fan as well by pinching the two sides together and folding it as you did the tea towel. Due to the shape of the pot holder, your fan will become the angel's wings. Tie a piece of ribbon in the middle of the folded pot holder to keep it secure.

    • 4

Lay the folded washcloth flat on top of the folded pot holder and secure by wrapping ribbon around the two of them. Place this on a flat surface with the pot holder on the bottom. Lay your folded tea towel on top and wrap the wash cloth around the front of the "head" of the tea towel to form the arms of the angel. Secure them with ribbon.
