How to Fold a Dollar Bill Into a Shirt
Folding money, also called money origami, is an entertaining hobby that is relatively inexpensive -- it only costs as much as the dollar bill you use is worth. It also does not require any special tools, except for your hands and some patience when executing folds and tucks. You can make money origami as a gift or simply as a way to pass the time. You can use these instructions for a folded shirt for any denomination of bills.

1
Fold the bill in half lengthwise, with the back side facing outward. Unfold the bill, leaving a crease.
-
2
Fold each of the long sides of the bill over one-quarter of the way. Each side should reach and meet at the crease from Step 1, with the back side facing outward.
-
-
3
Turn the bill over. Fold down the white section of the top edge. Turn the bill over again and fold each of the corners of the top edge inward to the center line to form the collar.
-
4
Hold the bill so that the collar faces you. Fold the bottom of the bill one-third of the way inward. Fold this section up a second time. Tuck the top under the collar.
-
5
Unfold the folds you made in Step 4, then gently unfold the entire bottom third section of the bill. Turn the bill upside down so the bottom points upward.
-
6
Fold the opened bottom back up along its width-wise fold line. Fold each long side of the bottom section inward one-quarter of the way, so that they meet in the center.
-
7
Fold out the top corners of the bottom section's quarter folds. The folds should look like elongated triangles.
-
8
Fold the bottom section up so that the bottom of the folded bill now reaches the collar. Tuck the fold under the collar to complete the shirt.
